Welcome to my site! As a proud descendant of the Knittle family, I've dedicated over a decade to researching our rich history. This space is designed to preserve heritage and I warmly invite you to share your insights or additions to my research. Together, we can keep our family's story alive!
How to Read and Track Family Members
Under the Family Members tab, you will find a list of each generation going back roughly 17 generations in the Knittle line. Once you click on the generation, you will see several people with numbers next to them. The numbers are for tracking purposes given that so many people had the same names. This can be seen where the same first and middle names are used for several members in one family due to infants not surviving.

To be able to track the lineage, and make sure that everything is accurate, I have numbered each Knittle descendant so that you can search that number and be able to find where they are located in the tree.
Example:
When viewing a generation, you will see the lineage of each person after Generation 1 that has the name of the person of the line they come from, with a subscript number. The subscript number delineates the generation for you.
Example: Lineage: Stephan1

In the above example, that person would be from the lineage of Stephan in the first generation.
Updates
This website is being created and updated in real time. This means that things will be added constantly as more information is found. Additionally, if anything is inaccurate, then I will change it immediately to make sure to have the most accurate information available.
